texis compilation error; ezclientsocknblk?

Post by Mr. Bigglesworth »

I'm trying to compile a vortex script below, same as I always do, and the message below comes up:

E:\>e:\webs\cgi-bin\texis.exe -C e:\webs\templates\dow110
Texis Web Script (Vortex) Copyright (c) 1996-2001 Thunderstone - EPI, Inc.
Commercial Version 3.01.992447526 of Jun 13, 2001 (i686-intel-winnt-32)

006 e:\webs\templates\dow110: Can't connect to 127.0.0.1:10005: Not enough space
in the function ezclientsocknblk

As far as I can tell, I've got more than enough disk space on the server, and wondered what circumstances would cause a message like that?

Sounds like you might be low on sockets or memory.

The connection being attempted is to the Texis Monitor's schedule server, which handles <SCHEDULE> tags (even if you don't use them: the script may be un-scheduled). You can disable <SCHEDULE> (and this socket connection attempt) with the following lines in /usr/local/morph3/texis.cnf:

[Scheduler]
Run Level=0

However, this not only disables scheduling, but doesn't solve the real issue of why the machine is low on sockets or memory.
