Upgrade questions

I am preparing to upgrade Texis on our production server. Because we are not planning to stop Apache I want to know if there any issues when upgrading "live". I'm not worried about temporary errors, but database corruption. Do I need to "turn off" database updates during the upgrade, etc. etc.

You should not run into database corruption when updating live. Depending on which OS and versions you are upgrading from/to, then you may see temporary errors, or need to take care upgrading if you can not replace files that are in use, such as the executables.
