performance downgraded

Post by agarcian »

A week ago the th. appliance started having a terrible performance. At some point it stopped responding and we had to restart it again. Running a query takes up to 20 seconds, getting to the walk status takes forever and it does not display the page.

I have three profiles with about 25000-50000 documents each, and we are using the file protocol.

I set up one of the profiles to do walks every hour since we need to detect changes fast. That is probably what is causing the problem. What should I look at to determine the bottlenecks?

When will the correction to the file protocol in which the download of the file is not require to detect if the file has been updated, be available?
I think that is causing my performance problems.

Setting the max process size to medium or small might help.

Thanks. Will try that. Any answer on the correction to the file protocol in which it needs to download the whole file to check if it has changed?

It's scheduled to come out early next month.
