I've been using the FREE version of Webinator for a couple of months
now and all of a sudden this past Sunday (when I do my re-walk via
Cron) it failed. I checked the cause and 'gw' was missing from the
directory!

I thought this odd, so I went to the web page and re-reguistered and
downloaded V1.2 for Linux and installed it. It doesn't work. I get:

------------------
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/texis/webinator/search/
on this server
------------------

Anyone know why this would have happened???

Gw won't delete itself. Someone there must have done it.

You had to have downloaded version 2.1. That's the current one.
The new default search interface to Webinator is written in Texis
Web Script. The script resides in the DOCUMENT_ROOT/webinator directory.

You apparently have that directory blocked out from access and your
web server is not letting the Texis cgi program access it. You need to
enable access to that directory.

Or texis is not in your cgi-bin directory. Make sure you have it in
the right place and use the right path to it. There should also be an
updated webinator cgi program in the same directory.
