Possible to Change the background ?]

Post by Thunderstone »

Dear Mark,

1) I added the top.html and the bottom.html pages into the webinator/db
directory and the webinator still does not call them up when I do a
search. I have tried to reindex but no change. (Please see
http://www.microoutlet.com t note that it has not changed.)

2) I Have accessed our site http://www.microoutlet.com/cgi-bin/webinator
using Netscape Gold. My understanding of what you wrote above is that I
save the page with my html editor (Netscape Gold), then I edit the
<form> variables that are embedded within the page, Do I save the page
as webinator.html and upload it as webinator.html once I am finished
editing it ?. If it is supposed to be saved as webinator.html, I assume
that it goes ino the http://ww.mysite.com/cgi-bin/ directory ?.

Sorry for the trouble and taking up all your time.

Best Regards,

Jerry roy

Your top.html and bottom.html are complete documents, not header and
footer html.

ie: Your current top.html says something like:

<html>
<head>
<title></title>
</head>
<body bg=blah blah blah>
</body>

Change top.html to:

<BODY TEXT="RED" bgcolor="WHITE" link="BLUE".....>

Change your bottom.html to:

</BODY>
</HTML>

Try viewing the source of a page when you're debugging
any HTML look and feel issue. It will really help clear up
a lot of issues.
