QUESTION: indexing levels

Post by Thunderstone »

Hello there!
I installed the Webinator with maintenance at Thuderstone. When doing
searches I only get results for the top level directory, no subdirectories.
What did I do wrong?

It seems that all the links on your top-level tree that refer to
directories don't end in a slash (/) as they should. Thus, they look
like files with no extension to Webinator, and it doesn't fetch (what it
thinks are) non-text/html files by default. Add an ending / to your
directory links.

There are only 12 pages in the index. This is probably because
you gave http://www.public.asu.edu/~dseeburg as the base URL
to web-walk, and these pages do not refer to the rest of the pages at
http://www.public.asu.edu/ .

Most of he hyperlinks from your personal home page point to other machines
on the net, and the default is for Webinator to stay on one machine.
