Query log

Post by Thunderstone »

Is there any way to save the patron querys into a log
file for later analysis? I didn't see anything in the
technical documentation or the archive.

If not is this planned for a future release?

As a work-around, can I shell out a webinator
query from a VB program (I am using NT)? If so,
then I can preprocess the query, saving the arg
string.

BTW, I tried indexing 9,000 small files with Excite and
webinator, Excite took 6 hours and hung the web server 2 hours
into indexing. Webinator did the same set of files in 15 minutes
with no degradation of service (I used -w0, probably would have been less if
I also turned off verbosity -v0).
