New Walk on profile that is replication target - is replicated content erased?

I have a profile that is the target of replication for many other profiles. If I do a NEW walk as opposed to refresh, will that also eradicate all the indexes that have been replicated from other profiles?
If that is so, what's a feasible solution to only refresh the data that the profile index itself?

Yes, a new walk will erase replicated data.
A refresh walk will attempt to refresh replicated data.
A replication target profile should not be walked.
