excel searching difficulty

I have an excel document that a group wants included in searches. I am able to get it to come up but it's extremely difficult. Once I do get it up and look at the match info most of what is listed there under body is gibberish with a few words or numbers mixed in. If I search for something that the document contains it does not work. Under the body portion of the match info it seems as if it's maybe only the header and footer information. Is there some way to have it actually search the data that the excel file contains?

It would usually index the text in the excel document. Perhaps there's some odd encoding in your document. Can you provide a link to it? If not you can open a ticket to arrange sending it directly to support for analysis.
