I've been using Webinator on my SCO system for a few months now and for
the most part I'm very satisfied with the results.
I am having a problem with the gw program aborting occasionally during
the nightly re-walk and re-index of my sites. I believe I have tracked
it down to the fact that I'm using the '-o' switch to direct gw to grab
individual off-site pages. This mostly works, but whenever the off-site
link is re-directed (either temporarily or due to some permanent change
for that web site), gw curls up and dies.
Does this guess as to what is causing my gw aborts make any sense? If
so, is there anyway around it (other that the obvious of NOT using the -o
switch <s>).
Also, I've been anticipating trying out the new Webinator release on my
SCO system. I see that your ftp site has new releases (at least I'm
guessing the late April files are new releases) for DecAlpha, Linux,
Solaris, and WinNT. Are there any plans to support the SCO platform with
the new release and any schedule for when that should be coming out?
Thanks, Layne
