I am planning to use Webinator to build a searchable directory of remote
sites, and as such I have some doubts.
1) Can I restrict the spider to a directory on remote site, like a
geocities directory?
2) Does the spider make any use of the the meta tags "description" and
"keywords"?
3) Can I add a additional content for each entry?
4) My site is hosted a on a virtual server running Linux, is that a
problem?
5) As far as could understand from your site, Webinator spider copies
the remote files to the local system, and in my case that is not
interesting. Can the spider be setup to walk the remote pages and just
save the indexes (revelant information)?
6) Can I modify the result lists? Can I display the date of creation of
the remote files? Can I control how many entries are shown on each
result page? Can I add a banner to the result page?
7) To ajust the interface I have to deal with VORTEX? Do I have to buy
it? If so at what price?
8) Do you accept credit cards?
