Troubles with Texis

Post by Thunderstone »

Hi,

I've run into a weird problem with the Texis script, whenever I point a
browser at www.myhost.ie/cgi-bin/texis/webinator/search I get the
following errors:

000 /www/Documents/webinator/search: gethostbyname: No such file or
directory in the function ezshostnum
000 /www/Documents/webinator/search: Internal error while confirming
license

I'd appreciate any help you can give me in resolving this error.

Regards,

Mike Kelly.

As recently mentioned on this list which is searchable at
http://www.thunderstone.com/webinator/

Webinator attempts to lookup the name and ip address of the machine it's
running on. Make your name server and/or /etc/hosts file has an address
associated with the name of your machine (see your system manuals or system
administrator for how to do this). Your machine name can be found with the
"hostname" or "uname -n" commands. Test your configuration with:
nslookup `hostname`

If your cgi programs run in a different environment than normal
commands, such as chroot'd, you'll have to ensure that name lookups
can be done in that environment as well.
