Webinator failure SCO 5.0.2

I am running 2 systems at version 5.0.2 and have never gotten the site to
index, it worked great with 5.0.d. If fails with the following error.
"dynamic linker: gw: symbol not found: catgets_safe
Killed"
I am running version 1.3 of Webinator and have tried various options but
even the simplest will not work. ie gw http://www.xyz.com. Has
anybody run this on 5.0.2.
set set_id,from the message catalog identified by catd.
always fails the same way.

Webinator for SCO was built using Open Server 5.0.0. One other person has
reported the problem with catgets. It would seem that every rev of SCO's OS
causes software built on any other rev to fail.
Webinator does not make any use of catgets. There must be something
deep in the C library causing this. We will have to check with SCO to see
if there is a workaround.
